The contemporary structure has been influensed by trends of population processes for several latest decades. In the research, we aimed at seven communities in Bystricke podolie in 1980 - 2005. We found out that the age structure had got become less favourable because communities had lost a very important pre-productive group of population. In 1980, the share of this pre-productive group was 24,4 % from the whole population of Bystricke podolie but in 2005, it was only 15,4 %. It means that pre-productive group has not substituted the population in a productive age. Contemporary amount of population has got down. The highest rate of population in the productive age was 64,5 % in 2005.
