Corporation Pillory Place Piešťany, Štefánikova
Origin 1830 Address Štefánikova 92101,Piešťany Descripton A listed cultural sight. The sandstone pillory was made around the year 1830 and after it had been removed from its original location, it was placed in front of the District Court building sometimes in the years 1929 and 1930. This functional, classicistic ,, penitentiary " is a formation of basic geometrical shapes, vertically aligned, with a square base (prism, pyramid) and a sphere. The front part of the pillory bears the inscription : ,,Newolám žádneho, prímam každého " (I call nobody, receive anybody). Deliquentes were lashed to it with fetters around their feet and waists.
