Banská Bystrica (Slovensko) Language Slovak Country Slovak Republic systematics 911 Annotation The work deals with the spatial analysis of significantly visible and easily identifiable functional disproportions in the Banská Bystrica city built-up area. The dispoportions include areas without urban utilization and areas utilized ineffectively and/or insufficiently. Both categories were termed as urbanly undeveloped areas .The database of urbanly undeveloped areas was created on the bases of field survey, supported by cadastre maps and other materials. This was subjected to analysis aimed at specific regularities in the development of spatial reserves, patterns observed in their spatial distribution and their utilizability for selected urban purposes. The main benefit of the work is comprehensive geodatabase of functional utilization of the Banská Bystrica city buit up area, stressing on city spatial reserves.
