Horehronie (Slovensko) Language Slovak Country Slovak Republic systematics 911 Annotation Wind conditions are variable at small, not vertical areas and this feature is not assessed only by using meteorological station network. Analyzing wind conditions we used measured values of Slovak hydrometeorological institute from period 1998-2007. Wind conditions are depended on many factors. Geographical factor influence on wind conditions at said area is analyzed in this contribution. Geographical location of the area, with the respect to general atmosphere circulation and wind prevailing, plays import role. Wind conditions are defined by relief, it means area location at Karpaty chain and relief in expected area as well. Altitude influence, terrain shape, terrain orientation, vegetation and man made influence all on wind speed and direction was analyzed in this contribution Res. angl.
