    AnnotationThe Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is not only management complement but is an important component of character and culture of company management. The aim of the Corporate Social Responsibility is to create the conditions of sustainable development in economic, financial, social and environmental area and to take the responsibility for it. Modern history of CSR started to write in the fiftieth years of the last century, when the ideas of responsible business were fully integrated to professional literature for managers.In the article we deal with the development of CSR definitions during the last half-century, its individual concepts (Corporate Social Responsiveness, Corporate Social Performance, Social Responsibility Investment, etc.) and current definitions that we can find in the individual documents of the European Union.
