Inappropriate human activities in river basins can bring about a series of irreversible changes that may completely influence the character of water resources and the way of their downstream usage. Since the water resources are influenced by a number of links between elements and components of landscape, they cannot be managed separately. Water management calls for an integrated principle on a river basin level. For this purpose, it is crucial to understand how the landscape influences the distribution of water resources. Landscape attributes affect on quantity, quality, distribution and accessibility of water resources. Except of fixed and hardly impacted environment characteristics (e.g. soil depth, bedrock substrate, climatic conditions) affecting hydric potential of landscape, it is possible by optimal structure and management to interfere its ability of infiltration and detention of precipitation. In this article we have focused on possibilities of increasing of hydric potential of landscape by suggestion of suitable river basin management.
