AnnotationPalatine Juraj Thurzo was one of the most important personalities of Hungarian Kingdom. Though the serotypes obtained by this study do not dispute the relationships among the members of this family(especially in the case of palatine´s wife and her three descendants), as they have been suggest by morphometrics and morphoscopy, the results do not provide unequivocal proof. The nonspecific ABH reactions in the case of Palatine Juraj Thurzo resulted probably from contamination by microorganisms (genus Saccharomyces)that were detected in the three long bones. Relatively equivocal results revealed the analysis of the Alžbeta Czoborová (J.Thurzo wife) skeleton suggesting the group B. In the case of remaining skeletons studied, the obtained results could be considered as more or less probable: Imrich Thurzo (son of J.T. and A.C.) - blood group AB, Anna Szunyogová (daughter of J.T and A.C.)- blood group B, Štefan Thokoly (grandson of J.T an A.C.) - blood group AB. The blood group typings also suggest that the very similar crania of Alžbety Czoborová and Anna Szunyogová might have been unintentionally interchanged during the recomposition of individual skeletons
