It provides insight into the link between the interpretation of the literary text and the experiential complex of the reader/translator and situates them pri- marily in the context of translation criticism. Drawing on the work of a wide range of philosophers, translation theorists and literary critics, the aim of this paper is to emphasise that there is no such thing as objective interpretation, objective translation, or objective translation criticism.
