Arsenic and its compounds with various oxidation states have to be monitored to protect human health and the environment. Limit values and methods of the determination are defined in the legislation. The determination of arsenic and its speciation are providing by the method of atomic absorption spectrometry using hydride generation technique (HG AAS). Our work is focused on the method of capillary electrophoresis. This method enables the arsenic determination in suggested electrolytic system in arsenate form (in ppm). The use as a screening method because of the short time (five minutes) and the parallel determination of arsenates and other inorganic anions in the same experiment are the main advantages of this method in comparison with HG AAS method.
