The level of general physical performance and physical development of pupils attending primary schools in Banská Bystrica / Ivan Čillík, Juraj Kremnický ... [et al.]. -- This contribution deals with the level of general physical performance of 7 - 15 years old pupils attending primary schools. Pupils of 1st grade, 4th grade and 9th grade of primary schools were tested in years 2013-2014.General physical performance was detected by the following tests: sit-and-reach, standing long jump, sit-ups in 30 s, flexed arm hang, shuttle run 4 x 10 meters, endurance shuttle run. We monitored these indicators of physical development: body height, body weight and BMI.In all monitored grades, we recorded higher level of general physical performance in boys, except the sit and reach test, in which the girls achieved better performance.When comparing the performance with the group of Slovak population, the tested boys and girls from BanskáBystrica lag behind in the level of general physical performance in all tests, except the test of flexed arm hang
