Object of the study were 17 boys attending elementary school in Nitra, who were observed in consecutive years (grades 6 through 9). Totally 5 measurements of body posture were executed. Between the measurements 2 and 3 experimental factor was implemented during a 4-month-long period. The method by Klein and Thomas modified by Mayer (1978) was used for the assessment and classification of body posture. High incidence of wrong body posture was found in all 11 – 15-year-old boys regarding their age. Results of the experiment showed positive effect of application of aimed exercises within P.E. and sport lessons, focusing on influencing wrong body posture, which was significantly manifested by correct body posture. After finishing the experiment without any adequate compensatory procedures the motor system of observed boys reacted by the onset of reversible changes, thus increasing the incidence of indicators of the body posture. There was a shift from 2nd and 3rd qualitative grade into the 4th one in boys (p < 0.05).Based on the results we can state that by early and suitable impacting of wrong body posture of children aged 11 – 15 years we can reach improvement.
