The demand reduction and subsequent reduction of the production in the companies is a basis for the decreasing numbers of employees. A significant part of the people that could be employed represents marginalized groups of people. Among these groups we can include ethnic minorities, elderly people, graduates without working experience and mothers with children or single parents. The paper deals with the field of creating of working possibilities for marginalized groups of people in the global economic crisis and also investigates the current situation of the companies that realize their business activities in the Slovak republic. The paper examines the results of the questionnaire research that we have done on the sample of the Slovak companies and that was realized in October 2011.
