There were no significant inter-gender differences by U-test analysis (no to little effect size difference, Ŋ2≤.02) in global level of MI and trait EI and their factors. Spearman correlation analysis proves highly significant positive moderate relation (Ʒ=.36***) between global MI and EI level. This relation was determined by personal moral competences being in relation to all four factors and global EI level (.21**≤Ʒ≤.36***). The social moral competences were only in relation to emotionality factor from trait EI (Ʒ=.34***). The study confirms construct validity of trait EI, for EI and MI are partially complementary. Though EI is values free while MI is not, and should not be. As one of the first studies verifying this relation and differences creates a baseline for following researches Public work category AFC No. of Archival Copy 43571 Catal.org. Following its theoretical analysis, it offers the first findings from verification of psychometrical properties of the tool for measuring moral intelligence, the Moral Competence Inventory (MCI) by D. Lennick and F. Kiel. Factor analysis of the Slovak version of the MCI proved the existence of 15 factors with acceptable variability. which, however, is not in agreement with 10 factors determined by the authors. Also, its insufficient reliability (in terms of internal consistency and stability of results in time (test-retest reliability estimate)) indicates that the current form of the MCI should be subjected to further scientific-research verification Public work category ADM No. of Archival Copy 31396 Repercussion category MALEKZADEH, Azadeh - NAMVAR, Hooman - JOMEHRI, Farhad.
