With the use of a questionnaire, we acquired 470 names of 450 everyday objects, most of which were cars. We found out that the most common motivator when choosing a name for an object was the name found in the calendar on the day of its purchase, regardless of what the object was. Another strong motivator, especially with cars, was the color of the object and the use of wordplays.
