Descr. články - journal articles Language French Country Czech Republic Annotation The paper deals with selected types of syntactic constructions of verbs in Slovak and in French. The focus is on the impersonal reflexive use of the Slovak third-person singular (A) and its correspondence with first-person generic plural constructions (B) of the same Slovak verbs. The third type of verbal construction under focus is the French “on”- subject construction (C). The corpus-based study is conducted using the Slovak National Corpus and the French corpus Frantext on a narrowed sample of 12 Slovak verbs of sight and their French semantic counterparts. Occurrences of A and B constructions were excerpted from the corpus. Once their frequencies had been assessed, five core Slovak verbs of sight were treated further to verify the hypothesis of the interchangeability of A and B. The verification took the form of a substitutional test in authentic contexts. In the final step, the interchangeability of A/B and C was checked. The interchangeability of A and B was confirmed in two-thirds of the sample. Differences were shown between different hyponymic groups established in the sample set. Functional parallels between A and B proved to be linked to specific pragmatic values of the verbs that were studied. In relation to the functional parallelism between A/B and C, exemplification demonstrated that C remains, together with the passive, one of the two main French functional equivalents of Slovak agentless constructions. The paper is a contribution to a larger contrastive research study on verbal transformations aimed at the conception of a valency transformation grammar of Slovak and French with potential impacts on translation and language teaching. Descr. články - journal articles Language Spanish Country Czech Republic Annotation El artículo presenta los resultados parciales de un proyecto enfocado en el análisis de la evolución de la imagen mediática de algunos personajes destacados de la cultura española en el ámbito checoslovaco a lo largo del s. XX. El objetivo de la investigación es analizar cómo el ambiente ideológico y político predominante puede tanto manipular como influir en la imagen de un elemento extranjero presentado por la prensa al público del país receptor. El presente texto se basa en el análisis crítico de unos 80 artículos con el tema de García Lorca, su obra y su legado ideológico, tras haberse encontrado, en total, más de 300 artículos relacionados con dicho tema. El método elegido de análisis, es decir, un análisis crítico del discurso basado en los principios establecidos por van Dijk, ha sido completado con un análisis detallado del contexto histórico, ideológico y político del correspondiente período, ya que la intención primordial ha sido responder a la siguiente pregunta de investigación: ¿hasta qué punto, por qué y cómo la motivación político-ideológica de un régimen no democrático es capaz de influir en las imágenes mediáticas incluso en temas que no son abiertamente políticos y extremadamente sensibles desde el punto de vista ideológico y cuyos protagonistas provienen de un ambiente que no es considerado parte vital del campo de batalla propagandístico contra el Enemigo? Durante el trabajo de análisis se ha comprobado en varios casos que los propagandistas del régimen comunista no dudaron en intervenir, de un modo bastante intenso, en la creación de una imagen muy específica de García Lorca, siempre de acuerdo con las necesidades ideológicas del momento histórico concreto.
