Slovenské rudohorie (Slovensko : pohorie) Jazyk dok. slovenčina Krajina Slovenská republika Systematika 581 Anotácia The moss Desmatodon cernuus (Huebener) Bruch & Schimp. is considered as endangered in many European countries. The presence of the species from the territory of Slovakia is reported here for the first time. The newly recorded taxon was found in an air-polluted region of the magnesite factories in Lubeník, Jelšava (Teplá voda) and Hačava in Slovenské rudohorie Mts. It grows mainly on degraded soils intoxicated by magnesite dust pollutants (the substrate is composed by soils mixed with weathered magnesite crust serving as the substrate) without any vegetation or in very poor grasslands with few resistant species – Puccinellia distans, Agrostis stolonifera and Elytrigia repens. These proceonosis resemble moderately halophilous communities of the order Agrostietalia stoloniferae. Regarding mosses D. cernuus the most frequently occurs together with Gymnostomum aeruginosum and Leptobryum pyriforme. Occurrence of cyanophytes (e. g. Nostoc microscopicum, N. sphaericum, Phormidium autumnale a Leptolyngbya sp.) was also observed on the sites with the investigated moss. Soil samples on the sites with D. cernuus have had a hight CCE value, high percentage of MgO (> 35 %) and strong alkali reaction (pH ≥ 9,10). D. cernuus also rarely grows on non-basic rocks – near Slovmag Lubeník inc. on weathered metamorphosed phyllites schists and on weathered sericite schists, and near Intocast Magnezit Hačava inc. on weathered mica schists to gneisses. Occurrence of D. cernuus on a lying decayed wood is very rare (one record from the site locality SE of Magnezit Jelšava inc.). Morphological description of the taxon, precise description of the sites, ecological and phytosociological characteristics are given, as well Kategória publikačnej činnosti ADF Číslo archívnej kópie 8454 Katal.org.
