The region of Western Liptov is known for its vast register of protected areas of nature from national parks to natural monuments and protected vicinities. In this sense the region of Western Liptov belongs to the most significant parts of the territory of the Slovak Republic. This study is focused on the didactic utilization of protectected areas of Western Liptov which has significant geologic-geomorphologic elements in university education of geography and landscape ecology.
